This project will improve operational and roadway deficiencies by reconstructing the K Street roadway to eliminate service lanes and create a transitway in the median to separate the through traffic from buses that make frequent stops. The project study area extends from 23rd Street NW to 8th Street NW and will provide an exclusive two-way, two-lane median transitway between 20th Street and 9th Street.
